Marisabel Alonso is an Associate Attorney at Landau, Hess, Simon, Choi & Doebley working on both employment and family-based immigration matters. Marisabel was recently named an Al Día 40 under 40 honoree for her work as an impactful young professional in Philadelphia.
Prior to joining, Marisabel gained experience at another immigration law firm in Philadelphia where she worked primarily on family-based adjustment of status cases and consular processing matters before the Department of State. Marisabel previously worked as a Staff Attorney at Catholic Social Services Immigration Legal Services where she developed her vocation for working with immigration clients before USCIS and Immigration Court. Further, Marisabel has experience working on humanitarian-based immigration petitions including, but not limited to, U-Visas, T-visas, Temporary Protected Status, and VAWA cases. Marisabel received her J.D. from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law in Philadelphia, PA in 2020. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Siena College in Loudonville, NY in 2015.
Marisabel is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, but can practice immigration law in any state. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
