On Sunday, February 2nd, The Philadelphia Inquirer published an article regarding a recent ICE action: “Why would ICE target a North Philly car wash for arrests? Immigration experts think they know.” Hon. Steven A. Morley (Retired), Of Counsel at LHSCD, is quoted as an immigration expert discussing the reasons why ICE may have targeted a carwash for a recent enforcement action resulting in seven arrests. Judge Morley noted that it was likely that ICE got “a tip about people without documentation, who already have orders of removal.” He also noted that the Trump administration has appeared to authorize ICE agents “to remove as many people as they can, as quickly as they can.”
