USCIS announced on February 5, 2021 that the registration period for the fiscal year 2022 H-1B cap will open at noon (EST) on March 9 and extend through noon (EST) on March 25. Using a myUSCIS account, employers will be able to register electronically and submit the $10 fee for each prospective beneficiary. A random lottery will be conducted and myUSCIS account holders will be notified by March 31. Employers will then be able to submit H-1B petitions on behalf of selected beneficiaries.
In addition, the Department of Labor has delayed the implementation of its prevailing wage level hike to May 14, 2021 (from March 15, 2021), meaning that it will not impact H-1B petitions for fiscal year 2022.
