The Department of State has released the August 2013 Visa Bulletin. Here are the key updates:
Family based preference categories:
– The F2A category (spouses and unmarried children (under the age of 21) of lawful permanent residents) will be current for all countries and is expected to remain current for the next several months;
-The F1 category (unmarried sons and daughters (age 21 and over) of US citizens) cut-off date advances three months, to September 1, 2006 for all countries except Mexico and the Philippines;
Employment based preference categories:
– 2nd preference for India will advance to January 1, 2008 (the cut-off date was stalled at September 1, 2004 since last year) although EB2 China cut-off date will remain at August 8, 2008;
– 3rd preference cut-off date for all countries except India and the Philippines will remain at January 1, 2009.
