USCIS Announces Launch of Organizational Accounts for Online Submission of H-1B Registrations and Petitions

January 12, 2024

On January 12, 2024, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) announced that it would be launching online organizational accounts for non-cap filings and the fiscal year 2025 H-1B cap season. These new measures are designed to increase efficiency and ease collaboration by allowing H-1B petitioners and their legal representatives to prepare and submit H-1B registrations, Form I-129 (“Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker”), and associated Form I-907 (“Request for Premium Processing Service”) online through their organizational account.

According to the announcement, the organizational accounts are expected to launch in February 2024 and the online filing of Forms I-129 and I-907 are expected to follow shortly thereafter. The H-1B registration process will continue to only be available online. USCIS also announced that it would be transitioning the paper filing location for Forms I-129 and I-907 from service centers to the USCIS lockbox as part of its efforts to increase efficiency. In advance of the upcoming H-1B registration period, USCIS is scheduled to host two national engagements on January 23 and 24 to provide guidance to organizations and their legal representatives on these new features.
