USCIS Will Accept H-4 EAD Applications Starting Next Tuesday; Releases FAQ

With applications for USCIS’s new H-4 EAD program being accepted as early as next Tuesday, USCIS has released additional information on the program, including answers to some frequently-asked questions regarding eligibility and application procedures. Click here to read the FAQ in full.

Among the clarifications and answers:

This is not a one-time opportunity; applicants can renew their EAD cards for as long as they remain eligible (see eligibility details here).
You must be physically present in the United States when you submit your application.
You may file your I-765 application in conjunction with a change of status or extension of status application.

While the opening date for this program is fast approaching, there are still a few days to wait before submitting an application. Applications that arrive at USCIS prior to May 26th are likely to be rejected.
