President Trump issued a proclamation suspending the entry into the United States, as immigrants or nonimmigrants, of all foreign nationals who were physically present within the Federative Republic of Brazil during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the United States. This proclamation is effective at 11:59 pm EST on May 26,2020. This proclamation does not apply to persons aboard a flight scheduled to arrive in the United States that departed prior to 11:59 pm EST on May 26, 2020.
These jurisdictions expand on the previous travel ban which as of now include the People’s Republic of China (excluding the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau), the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Schengen Area, the United Kingdom (excluding overseas territories outside of Europe), and the Republic of Ireland.
