The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has published a final rule regarding certain immigration and naturalization benefit request fees. Within the final rule is a chart comparing the current fees to fees established in this final rule. Notably, every fee within the final rule is the same or lower than in the previously proposed rule. Additionally, for most individual filers, the final rule limits how much newly established fees may increase.
The final rule will be effective on April 1st, 2024. Importantly, any benefit request that is postmarked on or after April 1, 2024, must be accompanied by the fees established by this final rule. The official USCIS announcement can be found here.
To discuss what potential impact this final rule can have on your current or future case, please request a consultation with one of our attorneys by filling out our Consultation Request Form.
